Our Mission
At the FLAG conference, we are steadfast in our commitment to creating an inclusive platform that provides unparalleled opportunities for students from all backgrounds. Recognizing the strength that diversity brings to the fabric of our nation, we have meticulously designed our conference to be a welcoming space for students of various ethnicities, genders, socioeconomic statuses, and cultural backgrounds.
FLAG offers need-based scholarships and assistance to underserved communities across the Mid-South. FLAG also prides itself on maintaining a diverse staff committed to making students feel welcomed and included. By fostering an environment that embraces diversity, we empower students to not only showcase their unique perspectives but also to forge connections and gain insights that will enrich their academic and professional journeys.
Within our higher education and collegiate preparation programming, we provide special opportunities for students of color to engage with DEI staff as well as students with similar background. We invite all participants to actively contribute to an inclusive atmosphere during the conference. Respect, openness, and a willingness to learn from one another are the cornerstones of our participant engagement
